Parking

Surface, deck and interior. Southgate Centre offers a total of over 4,000 parking stalls. Acres of parking spots are on the surface areas of the parking lot. There are upper parking decks on the east and west sides of the property. There are 2 new additional levels of upper parking on the west side of the Centre, accessible from the north or south end of the building via a ramp. Our west parkade features new digital technology which displays the amount of parking stalls available at any given time.

Entrances

There are 5 main Centre entrances on the main ground level, and are identified by signage: North, South, West, Northeast, and Southeast. Our smaller upper level features Blus, Evelyn Charles and Flower Affairs. For closest access to these stores, there are two upper level entrances accessible via the north or south parking ramps, on the west side of the building.

Upper Deck Parking

The Bay, Sears and Crate & Barrel are all accessible from our second level parking decks. Sears is accessible via the East and West side of the parking deck, while The Bay is accessible from the West. Crate & Barrel is accessible from level 2 of our new parkade, located on the Southwest side of the building.

The Southgate parking lot is easily accessible from all borders of the property:

  • Two entrances from the west bound Whitemud Freeway collector lane at the south end of the property

  • Two entrances from 51 Avenue on the North side of the property

    •  

  • Four entrances from 108A Street on the east side of the property.

Handicapped Parking

Handicapped parking stalls are conveniently located at all mall and department store entrances for a total of 64 handicapped parking stalls. Southgate Security officers closely monitor handicapped parking.

Parents With Little Ones Parking

Special parking spots have been designated especially for “Parents With Little Ones.” These stalls are clearly identified near Centre and anchor store entrances for a total of 48 parking stalls. “Parents With Little Ones” parking stalls are reserved for parents and vehicles carrying small children in car seats and strollers.

Bicycles

Bicycle racks are available at all Centre entrances. Cyclists are reminded to ensure they lock their bicycles when visiting the Centre.

Parking Lot Maintenance and Security

All parking lot areas receive a high standard of maintenance and upkeep, including snow removal, and gravel and salt applications during the winter months.
Parking lot areas are well lit, monitored and patrolled by security officers on a regular basis. An exterior parking lot security bike patrol is deployed during the spring, summer and winter months.
Visitors at Southgate are reminded to ensure they leave vehicles locked and valuables out of sight or locked in the trunk.

Parking Assistance

Forget to turn your lights off? Left the keys in the car? Southgate maintenance and security personnel are available to provide assistance should you need a boost, if keys are locked in the car, or should an escort be required. Assistance can be arranged by visiting our Customer Service Centre.

Parking Policy

Southgate is private property and does not tolerate or encourage park-and-riders. All known park-and-riders will be tagged and ticketed.
